As I have recently purchased these and have worn them only a week, I cannot attest to their sturdiess over time or their cold weather warmth. (it is still above 50 every day.) But, they have broken in fast and are very comfortable, although, even though I ordered a size larger than I normally wear, they were tighter than expected. But, as stated earlier, they have broken in nicely already and have loosened up. So far, I would definitely recommend them to family, friends, and co-workers.
