I was apprehensive about ordering shoes on line from a company I had had no experience with and should have heeded that especially after seeing the shoes I wanted only came in whole sizes. I was right. the shoes in 8 would be too small, but the 9 is too big. and on top of that, the right and left shoes fit very differently. the fit around the ankle allows no adjustment, and on the right it was way too loose. the fit makes them seem defective. (I order these because a friend bought some last year and was happy with them.) In addition, there is so little info included with the package --no contact info, no real confirmation of what is shipped.

sadly not what I had hoped for

A few years back I had fallen in love with Baffin's Roxxi size 8.5, a waterproof walking shoe with ample toe box as well as ample width. The only complaint was that it wore out too quickly and that Baffin no longer made the shoe. In looking for a replacement I ordered the Zip Womens. I usually wear a size 8 to 8.5, so I ordered a size 9 after reading the comments, but even in the size 9 my toes hit the tip of the shoes. My big toes also hit the sides of the shoe. In short, not at all the shoe wit ample toe box that I had fallen in love with. I also wonder if ones feet wouldn't get terribly hot in these shoes since they fit quite snug. I shall have to check out Keen's next.
