Nice winter hiking boot
Review by Turtle M. on 29 Apr 2019
I picked these up last year from another retailer at considerably less than the list price. I feel like i got a real value for what i paid.
I like the different design approach on these boots; impervious waterproof outer with a removable liner. Makes it easier to dry the liner out at the end of the day when it gets damp from sweat. On the trail, i place Zippo warmers in the boot overnight.
The insulation level is fine for me when moving between 10º–30ºF. Haven't taken them below that yet. Size seems to run true; i got a US12 which is fine with a heavier pair of socks.
These work fine with snowshoes and microspike-style traction. Not sure how they'd be with full-on crampons; haven't tried them in that application yet.
The outer material is fairly flexible, and readily gives as the foot moves, so i've not experienced any pressure points or hot spots. The sole is somewhat stiff, but bends fairly readily under the ball of the foot as one pushes off the back foot. A nice compromise between protection from rough rocks and flexibility.
I can't comment on durability, as i haven't worn these enough to see how they'll hold up.
Echoing another review, it would be nice if replacement liners were available. And also maybe the reflective inner sole. I haven't seen these anywhere.
I'm holding back a rating star given i don't know about long-term durability, and there seem to be no replacement liners available.

Warm cycling at -15°C, but a rivet broke
Review by John J. on 2 Oct 2018
These are warm for cycling at -15°C. The liners (several, depending on temperature) socks) get moist/wet with sweat after 40 minutes, so I'd like to get another boot liner to swap on longer rides.
