Describe a day in your life at Baffin

At Baffin, I help to oversee that brand strategy, communications and partnerships in North America and with our distribution partners globally. From planning our seasonal digital ads, content projects and high-profile seeding to building our wholesale catalog, product descriptions and events – I touch everything in the brand marketing and creative space. I am also a member of Baffin’s Corporate Citizenship Employee Advisory Group (EAG) – where I work towards the continual development of our corporate social responsibility strategy and working with these partners internationally.

What is your favourite Baffin memory?

Baffin’s 2021 Sales & Marketing Summit was a great memory for me! There was a lot of planning that went into the event and it was my first (post-Covid) event with the company. I finally got to meet people face to face, present new products and truly feel/live the brand. A close second would be an event that Baffin’s Corporate Citizenship EAG facilitate with the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), Ride Don’t Hide. Baffin not only sponsored the campaign, but rallied employees to create a corporate team and hosted a full day of wellness programming at head office. In total over $6,000 was raised for the Canadian Mental Health Association through the Ride Don’t Hide campaign and event, after Baffin matched donations made and raised by employees. It costs $330 for CMHA to provide one more person with the community mental health programs, services and support they need, when they need them. Through Baffin’s efforts, more than 18 individuals will be able to get the help they need from the Canadian Mental Health Association.

What is your favourite Baffin product?

ICEFIELD in White

What is your favourite place in Canada to explore?

I absolutely love spending time in BC – the mountains are beautiful and there is such an outdoor lifestyle focus there.

What Inspires you about the outdoors?

I feel grounded when I’m in the outdoors. I also feel challenged and like there is endless possibility in where I can go, travel and explore.

What is your favourite thing to do in the outdoors?

I absolutely love to hike and hope to get my 3-year-old daughter more involved.

What was your favourite Baffin testing outing?

I enjoyed testing SWIFT on the Bruce Trail last year during an Earth Day garbage clean up. Not only did we get to test the product while hiking, but we cleaned up our own backyard.
