Comfort is best achieved with moderate to high levels of activity and has been proven by us on treks to Baffin Island and on industrial worksites across the Arctic, ensuring performance in extreme-cold conditions. Arctic Rated products have been worn by Baffin’s testing team in comfort in Arctic regions where temperatures between-30°C to-45°C/-22°F to-49°F have been experienced.
Moderate to high levels of activity are achieved when a user's heart rate is between 55% and 79% of their heart rate max. Examples of this type of activity may include: winter expeditions, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, etc.
As warmth may be affected by many factors, please consult a medical professional if you’re planning to be active in freezing temperatures. Regions Real-World TestedTM: Inside the Arctic Circle (Baffin Island: Auyuittuq National Park, Iqaluit, Pangnirtung, Qikiqtarjuaq), Svalbard, and Siberia.
